Strange - this made BBC radio news a couple of weeks ago...I didn't see anything on TV or newspapers yet there is endless coverage of criticism of our Iraq/Afganistan operations.

Would the curves from Gallup polls about our current government's popularity show any different kind of variation? Public opinion tends to swing fairly markedly from year to year, whatever the subject.

What difference exactly did Obama being president instead of Bush make to the perceptions in Afghanistan, do you think?
