Tougher Sentences for Hit and Run Drivers demanded
Friday, November 2nd, 2007A petition signed by 5,000 people asking for tougher sentencing for hit-and-run drivers was presented to the House of Commons by Jeff Ennis, MP for Barnsley East and Mexborough. It is calling for a change in the law to raise the minimum sentence for hit-and-run drivers who kill to be raised to 14 years.
